On a solid wood frame, an upholsterer creates padding that is then covered with full-grain, dyed leather. Each button tuft is independent, attached directly to the solid wood frame with string (the tufts are not simply snap fasteners). The diamond shapes are obtained by folding (they are absolutely not pieces of leather sewn together) which guarantees a long lifespan and increased strength. The Chesterfield sofa: a classic, comfortable, luxurious, stylish and vintage piece of furniture.
